Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Nurse Practitioner/Practice Nurse Manager
Linda Rae is responsible for leading and managing our team of practice nurses. She works closely with the GPs and with Christine, the Practice Manager, to deliver a high standard of nursing care to our patients. Linda is a fully qualified nurse who has undertaken additional training to become a Nurse Practitioner.
Our Nurses can advise you on a wide variety of health problems and preventive health including advice on smoking cessation and weight loss. They work very closely with the doctors in certain clinical areas (asthma, diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart disease etc) and also work independently, carrying out services such as childhood immunisations, women’s health screening, new patient medicals and wound management and are trained to carry out an extensive range of tests and procedures, blood tests, BP monitoring and suture removal.
Appointments with the practice nurse can be made by contacting the receptionists.
